Mine Waste Processing and Remediation Solutions Mine Waste
Total Waste Destruction for Steel Slag and or Fly Ash
Steel Slag Solution
Metal processing waste is full of toxins, with dust, water runoff ground leaching contamination, interactive gasses and extremely hard for the industry to dispose of. Trucking and handling of the heavy waste material is also very costly. The materials are highly abrasive and hard on equipment. Roadways also are greatly impacted. The heavy slag in some cases must set for 3-6 years depending on country and state regulations before it can be adapted to approved industrial usage. This piling takes up a lot of space and is rarely; adequately retained for the leaching from the weather and dust over these long periods of settling. Several examples of high volume processing with about 3,000 metric tons being dumped daily. Its easy to visualize mountains of steel slag growing at over one million ton a year. WASTE DESTRUCTION PROCESSING VOLUME Each system is designed for 2,000 to 3,0000 TPD Processing Steel Slag WASTE DESTRUCTION PROCESSING VOLUME Each system is designed for 2,000 to 3,0000 tons per day whereas will eliminate the need for slag piles at site or near site processing without waiting for it any longer than it takes for it to cool down. SLAG: Cost Effective Solution Steel Slag and Fly Ash has been processed successfully without any waste materials whereas only clean energy is created and two grades of water that far exceeds the water testing for agricultural, industrial water and potable water requirements. For processing steel slag we find that processing 2,000 ton per day and up to 3,000 ton per day at any one site would be the best volume for our machine design. We would need to evaluate the site for logistics and processing models however in the primary site evaluated the slag was held in location for 3 years and then went to a cutter that made 10 cm square pieces; next was trucked to a crusher location to a hard stone crusher that was overworked with the pulverizing the material for other uses. Dust issues would not allow it to be done on that site for hazardous reasons. Cutting cost averaged $22.00/ton and Crushing charges was from $48 to $77 per ton not including trucking and handling cost. Our estimated processing charge for volumes exceeding 2,000 ton per day could be as low as $48.00 for crushed and $68.00 for cut 10 cm for these high volume sites. NOTE: The above stated prices were for a company with 3 steel processing companies of 3,000 ton per day each site in Asia. Local processing may be higher depending on area cost and EPA requirements. |
Fly Ash Solution
Processing coal ash is a very consistent process and can be processed at location without expensive or additional environmental concerns. Sludge ponds often overflow or in many cases the holding dam brakes creating long term environmental damage with serious health threats. Systems can be designed and built within 12-18 month to meet the sites requirements and may also include mobile and or modular systems that can be transported to various sites for processing the waste with “FULL WASTE DESTRUCTION” thus eliminates any further environmental issues. Fly Ash will require some water in the process and can be circulated within the ponds on site or in portable liquid containers for testing and released for local agriculture and aquaculture needs. I some cases the water can be further processed for potable water needs. Models of waste destruction require a detail site or sites evaluation to present an acceptable environmental engineering solution FLY ASH PROCESSING SYSTEM Each system is designed for according to the site development understanding & survey evaluation. If the site is still being utilized we would build to handle the daily output in addition to the site remediation waste destruction goals. FLY ASH: Cost Effective Solution Fly Ash was processed successfully with our primary stage processor that designed for steel slag however it was very effective for the coal and fly ash processed. Depending on the Coal Ash site it may have holding ponds that require to be processed on-site; our site solution will take into account all volumes for fast reduction of the ponds and remediation use for further mountains of fly ash processing in the solution model. The advantage of fly ash processing over the metal slag is that it will not require the loud and faulty crushers to process. Dust is also easy to contain in our processing system with covered conveyors directly into the auger screw feed system for sludge or powder models. Currently several fly ash waste removal operations are paying from $78 to $140 dollars per short ton and they are trucking it to new waste material holding sites, yet never really handling the ash waste issues, just moving it from one site to another. We are a total environmental solution in many ways we can process the coal ash 100% and no land fill is required. For some sites we can generate long term clean energy for the state, city and national grid. NOTE: Modular or Mobile systems can be designed for Fly Ash sludge and is considered a good solution for regional cleanup with annual retainer contracts, for handling emergency contaminated sludge and wastewater! |
